We don't just hire technicians. We grow them, on a paid, John Deere-backed path that takes you from the shop floor to Certified Technician in about two years.
John Deere built the Certified Technician roadmap in three levels, in a deliberate order: foundations first, then how the systems work, then real diagnostics. You are never thrown at a machine you haven't been trained for.
Get productive and safe, fast. Tools, process, and the basics.
Learn how hydraulics, electrical, engines and drivetrains really work.
Diagnose real machines, then prove it in hands-on assessments.
John Deere's own credential, and it goes wherever your career does.
Your first month is about getting your feet under you, not sink or swim. You learn John Deere's step-by-step approach to diagnosing a problem, the dealer tools every technician uses daily, and the basics of engines and drivetrains, with an experienced tech beside you.

This is where you stop being a generalist and start becoming a systems expert. You go deep on what makes modern John Deere equipment run, one system at a time, so the machine in front of you starts to make sense.
The payoff. You put everything together on real diagnostic work, then prove your skills in hands-on qualification assessments for each major system. Finish Level 3 and you are a John Deere Certified Technician.

On this path your progress is something you can see. As your skills grow, your title moves with them, all the way to the credential John Deere gives its best technicians.
Certified Technician is John Deere's own program, not an in-house badge. It's recognized across the industry.
You're on the job at a Koenig store while you train, working on real Customer equipment and getting paid for it.
Experienced technicians can test out of systems they've already mastered instead of sitting through them again.
Certified technicians keep farms, job sites and lawns running across Ohio and Indiana: in the shop, on the road with a mobile service truck, and in the field at harvest when it matters most.
Still in school? The John Deere Tech Program gets you a degree and certification with paid internships. Ready to work now? Start at a Koenig store and grow on this path from day one.
